1903, Chips After Hours

Printed 29 August 1903.

Thomas Jones, a refreshment housekeeper, of Pentre, was summoned for keeping his house open after hours.

The offence was that chip potatoes were being served out to persons on the pavement after eleven o’clock. A fine of 5s was imposed.
